Mrs. Martin, Principal
Experience
I began my teaching career in the Caldwell County Schools system at Oak Hill Elementary, where I taught Language Arts and Social studies. I worked in Catawba County for a couple of years, and then returned to Caldwell County as a Language Arts teacher at Granite Falls Middle School. I became an instructional facilitator in 2012, serving Gamewell Middle School, and then I became the assistant principal at GMS in 2014. I transitioned to principal in 2018. I have loved every minute of my leadership at GMS!!!

Why I Became An Educator
I have always known, even from a young age, that my purpose was to foster young minds and to help children, specifically young adolescents, fulfill their greater purpose. Believing in them and helping them believe in themselves is key. I'm the cheerleader.

I enjoy work. It's a good thing, because I spend a LOT of time here. I also very much enjoy spending time with my husband of 31 years and my daughters Madalyn and Lauren and my son, Max.
